It's undeniable that today we can't live without our smartphones. With them, we communicate quickly with family, friends, or colleagues, pay our bills, watch and record videos, take photos, and do a dozen more things.
But what enables us to do so much?
What makes the smartphone so versatile are precisely the apps we install on it. And that's what we're going to talk about today.
Whenever we download an app, they usually request permission to access information or tools on the phone, don't they?

To ensure that a downloaded app doesn't access anything beyond what's necessary, it's important to pay attention to what it's requesting and evaluate if it really needs that permission.
Imagine, for example, a photo app asking to access SMS messages in addition to the camera! Or any random app requesting access to practically everything—camera, storage, location. Does it make sense? It's a reason to be suspicious! After all, if permissions are not appropriately granted, it can compromise your privacy and the protection of your data.
Therefore, if you're not already managing these permissions, you can easily start managing them on both iOS and Android.
In addition to being cautious about permissions, it's necessary to take a step back. You should download apps only from official stores (Google Play, Apple Store), read user reviews as they can provide valuable insights into any potential issues, and, of course, download from suppliers you know and trust. Even these official stores are not immune to malicious apps. This way, we won't be downloading something unexpected.
